Rough idling when A/C is on

I have a 99 Ford Contour SE. 165,000 miles, automatic, trans, 4 cyl engine.

Car runs fine, however, when I turn the A/C on it revs, then putt-putts, revs, then putt-putts, and then after about 4 times, will stall.

Doesn't happen while driving or giving it gas in park and neutral.

Could this be a fuel filter or fuel injectors?

Inspect and test the idle speed control motor/valve might not be adjusting the idle for the AC load
