Interior lights and radio no power

I have a 1999 ford contour. My interior lights wont come on. My dashboard lights wont come on. Theres no power to my radio. I really dont know what happpened. We had the trunk open and I think maybe it ran out the battery. But then wouldnt my car not be able to start? Im so lost and I dont know how to fix it but I really really neeeed help!

Have you checked all your fuses? Before I give any more sugestions do that first. Look in your owners manual to find the fuse location. I have an e-mail posted for a reply. There are too many things on a ford wiring to cause this so we need to go step by step. (NOS) try fuses first.
