Some one else posted a similar question, about a burning smell coming from the engine, that doesn't want to start and that the smell is coming from the right passenager side. Any ideas?

Hi my friend Lets see if this can help you. If the smell is like rotten eggs its your catalyst converter stopping up and needs to be replaced. If its not that then drive the car up on ramps and go under the car and look for leaks if the engine or transmission is has liquid at them check and see if its oil witch would be brown or black if not check to see if its red or dark red at the tranny if there is no liquids under the car and its dry check your valve covers and check for leaks if its leaking on to the exhaust manifold theres your problem check all of of this before you spend allot of money doing this your self and fixing it your self will save allot of money trust me I own a 1999 contour and I work on it my self and I save an average of about $2,000.00 To $3,500.00 a year doing the work my self So I hope you have time to do this and hopefully you repair your problem yourself and save your self a headache of money.
