1994 Ford Aerostar fuel pump

I recently had the fuel pump fail in my aerostar after running it with little fuel and filling it on a very cold day. After taking it out and testing it again I found that it worked and the van runs well arain now. How long to fuel pumps usually keep running after quitting and being revived.

Hi:
When they are bad. They usually are done. If yours is working again, I would feel more confident saying that you had a loose or dirty connection that was cleaned or repaired when you did the work. The pump is an electric motor. When worn out, they usually are done.
