1988 Ford Aerostar dont know what to do

Heloo, just yesterday my car cut off and ran hot. I think that it is because, I missed getting the regular oil change but, I dont know what to do. My brother said that if it gets hot turn on the heater to high and it will keep it from cutting off. What am I to do.

Hello,

Ok, your van ran hot and shut down. Well there are a couple reason this could happen.

Bad Thermostat

Bad Water Pump

Bad Radiator

Bad Fan Clutch

However, you missing an oil changed did NOT cause this problem Unless you ran out of Oil. If you ran out of oil you would have heared tapping then knocking noises coming from the engine.
