1994 Other Fiat Models Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Manual 12000 miles

My clutch feels slack when the pedal is pushed and it will not go into gear. This happened overnight with no clutch or gearbox problems and no warning. I have not had a problem with the clutch since I have owned it (12 months). Do you have any ideas regarding this problem and suggestions on how to repair it as cheaply as possible? Thanks
