A lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust?

There is a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust. The engine light came on and the oil change alert as well. Both lights were fixed but it still smokes from the exhaust. A month ago, the coolant reservoir was replaced. I don’t know if that is related to the problem.

Does the smoke look like steam, does it have a smell like a pungent sweet smell? If so, you it sounds like you have a blown head gasket, please go over these guides to check:

and if it is black/white smoke you could have a fuel injector sticking open.

Yes, the engine was overheating before and after the reservoir was replaced.
