EVAP monitor incomplete

Scan tool says evap monitor incomplete but has no check engine light.

This monitor needs to run in order for the system to operate properly. It will run just under normal driving, you just have to give it time.
However, I attached the process to force it to run if you want to perform this procedure.

To add some info, the lack of the monitor itself being set would not set a code to trigger the check engine light. However there could be a reason it hasn't set that just has not triggered the light yet.

Good point Steve. I did not think about a pending code which will not show up on some generic code readers until it goes active.

So if you run the procedure and the monitor does not pass then scan for codes with a scan tool that we know will pick up pending codes.
