Do you mean the gauge is stuck full hot? Do you also have a check engine light? If you don't have the light as well and the engine runs normally without going into overheat cooling mode and limp mode on the engine, it isn't a sensor, it is the gauge or cluster gauge motor itself that is the issue.
That said you have 2 temperature sensors in that vehicle. Both send their info to the PCM and are used to provide the data to control the engine and the cooling system fans. The PCM also sends data to the dash for the gauge. The system also will turn on the CEL if there is an issue with either sensor. So is the light on?
