I have a 93 ford mustang GT it has been not running well lately it has 22,300 miles the engine has been rebuilt it seems to miss out while driving I had a scan tool hooked to it to read any codes stored it came back with 2 codes engine temp sensor and engine coolant temp sensor while I drive it the check engine light flashes on 1 time but never remains on when this happens it misses out and there is a delay in the gas peddle once I got on it a little to see what it would do and it back fired when I AM driving and it misses out it acts like when your driving a manual car and your new at it, it puts and misses out any helps? And also could a temp sensor cause it to miss out?

I have a 92 lx 5.0 with a rebuilt motor and I was having problems with it cutting out while I was driving it and when I would give it gas it would backfire. I put a new distributor on it and new cap and rotor and come to find out I had 2 firing lines on my cap, so my rotor was not seated good. I put a new rotor on it and it never has cut out on me again. If that does not work check your timing to see if it is off and make sure your distributor is not moving around. I hope this fixes your problem.
