So, I have the vehicle listed above, one day I jumped off a friend and ever since then all my gauges on my cluster quit working (only the tachometer and speed working) the ABS, airbag and battery light came on (none of those lights have ever been on before) and my dome lights, A/C quit working. My doors won’t lock or unlock (none of them will) and my key fob won’t work. My windows won’t roll up or down (only the rear windows will from the door) and I tried connecting multiple code scanners to my truck and everyone i’ve connected has said linking error and i’ve checked every fuse and they were all fine, my battery is also brand new. I don’t know what to do because everything is messed up and way out of my knowledge. I just want my truck back to normal.

Hi,

Does the engine start and run normally? If the vehicle you jump started had a short within the charging system, it may have caused a fuse on your truck to fail.

I attached a pic below showing the main fuses for the vehicle. Note the alternator has a fusible link. There is also a 125-amp battery fuse that powers the under-hood fuse box. If that failed, nothing is going to work properly. Also, the fusible link will prevent the alternator from charging.

I need to know if the vehicle runs. That will eliminate several fuse-related issues. Also, if it does run, I need you to confirm the alternator is charging the battery. All you need for this is a simple voltmeter or multimeter.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

If the alternator is in fact not charging the battery, that could be the primary problem.

Let me know.

Take care,

joe

My engine runs fine, cranks right up and drives perfectly normal and the alternator is charging the battery and the battery is holding charge. I drive it every day still it’s my daily driver.

Hi,

What I would suggest is to start checking fuses that are related to the items not working. Here is the thing. The fuse may be good but there may not be power to them due to a fuse upstream that failed, so you need to check for power.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Based on how this happened, I suspect something spiked, causing a fuse or fuses to fail.

Let me know.
