When it gets cold my truck dies, I have a new alternator and battery. This past time it died once I got it started again I had a major power loss and the exhaust was way louder. The coputer said I needed new spark plugs and ignition coil which would explain some of the power loss but not as much as I did loose. It also doesn't explain why it keeps dying randomly.

Try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner then check fuel pressure with a guage. Auto parts rent it.
