Hard idle and shuts off

My car has a hard idle and will shut off if I am sidelining, but only if I do not put my foot on the accelerate quick enough. Also, it will not shut off if I leave brake pedal pushed, but as soon as I let the break off for a few seconds the car shuts off if I do not hit the accelerate quick enough.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Based on your description, I think you have a vacuum leak at the power brake booster or the check valve.

Try this. Disconnect the vacuum hose to the power brake booster and plug the engine side vacuum. Start it and see if it idles properly. Keep in mind, you will not have power assist to the brakes, so I would not drive it.
