So my truck with keyless entry has an issue with the driver door only. The driver door will not lock or unlock with either the unlock/lock switch on the driver door or with the keyfob. The passenger door unlocks with both the driver door unlock/lock switch and the keyfob. Also the driver door ajar message is displayed in the information center.

I bought a new lock assembly. I plugged in all three connectors before installing to test it. The lock solenoid does not operate nor does the door ajar message go away when the lock assembly is latched as if the door were closed.

Any ideas of where to best check for issues? Relays? Wiring?

Hi,

I attached a portion of the wiring schematic for this vehicle's power lock circuit. Where the actuator plugs in, there should be two wires, one gray and one tan. Based on if you want it to lock or unlock, one or the other wire will get power. I need you to confirm there is or isn't power to the actuator. If you find there is none, then check wiring for damage.

Do this and let me know the results or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
