My car will start no problem. I have full power and if you put it in gear it'll go up to 5 miles an hour. However, if I try to step on the gas that nothing happens, no acceleration. It's like I'm not even hitting it. Any idea what this could be?

Hello, I'm Danny.

The first thing I would check is the fuel pressure. Sounds like you might have a weak or failing fuel pump that is not supplying adequate pressure. Also, By chance is the cars check engine light on? Here are two tutorials showing what is involved for checking fuel pressure and check engine light codes:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

If you don't have access to a code reader-scanner or a fuel pressure tester most auto parts store have a tool loaner program and can rent you one. The fuel pressure requirement for your car is to be 44-50 PSI at idle. Get back to us after performing these tests and we can then properly diagnose this issue especially if the check engine light is on. Let us know the check engine light codes if any. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
