First it started with driving down the road rpms shoot to 0 the truck dies when trying to restart it turns over and sounds like it is going to start but doesnt ive checked the gas pressure, it is fine. It would take about 30 mins - hour to restart then would run great. Changed ignition coil, now stop at walmart, turns off fine. Come back wont start wait til truck cools down ( which it is only at operating temp.) Starts just fine. I have no clue what is wrong I did a gasket change on the heads, intake, vavle covers. But it still does it. Doesnt seem to be a gas problem but I could be wrong.

There are 2 possibilities that come to mind that is causing your problem. If you find that you have no spark when this happens I would recommend replacing the cam and crank sensor. The cam sensor is located in the distributor and is easy to replace, the crankshaft sensor is located at rear of engine in the transmission bell housing. My bet this will fix your truck. Very common for this complaint. Hope this helps

Thank you. We looked up what the camshaft sensor is and decided that is our problem hopefully. If not crankshaft sensor here we come!
