Engine Performance problem
2006 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My buddy has a car that will not start. It cranks over, has spark, has good fuel pressure, recently replaced cam sensor, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, but all it wants to do is crank and not start. What could be the cause of the problem. I noticed that when I pulled the spark plugs one at a time to test for spark the car sounded like it was trying to start. Any suggestions will be looked at. I think it could be a completely clogged cat but shouldnt the car at least start then die. Before it just wouldnt start the car would run and at about a quater of a tnk left it would die and then it eventually got to the point where at a half of a tank it would die. Again the car has fuel spark and compression.

All it wants to do is crank and not start. Do below something is not right here-

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing
