Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I had the fuel pump changed 2 times.

After the first change I was driving and the engine sputtered and the engine light came on. The engine stopped and when I turned the key the starter turned over but the engine wouldn't start.

After the 2nd change I was driving and the engine sputtered again and felt like it was out of gas. The engine eventually stopped after about 200 yards.

Is there something besides the fuel pump that should be looked at?

Check the fuel pressure-if okay

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors-
