I have a 1998 Dodge 1500 sport (4wd), it starts up and will only stay running if I am giving it gas. I think its the fuel pump. If you think of anything else it could be please let me know, also just replaced the starter. If you think it is the fuel pump can I get pictured instructions from you to replace it? Thanks.

It could be a fuel pump. However, before replacing it, I would recommend checking fuel pump pressure. It may not be the problem.

Here are the directions:

If you need a gauge, most parts stores will lend or rent them.

Let me know what you find. Believe me, replacing the fuel pump is a pain. IF you don't have to do it, don't.
