It drops then picks back up but some times completely stalls?

I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 truck with a 5.9L. When I let off the gas it wants to stall. It drops then picks back up but some times completely stalls mostly at slower driving speeds like in town stop sign to stop sign. Do you have any suggestions to help? Map sensor our throttle position sensor? Thanks for your help and time everett

Hello,

This could be due to a dirty idle air control valve (IAC).
A dirty IAC will not have sufficient air flow through it while the engine is off throttle and that can cause the engine to bog down or even stall when at idle.
Cleaning out the IAC can improve the drivability.
