Transmission problem
1997 Dodge Ram V8 Automatic 118000 miles

I get troouble codes P0740 & P1762 What does it mean and what can I do. Will not shift past 2nd gear.

Trans in fail safe mode fault with governor and torque convertor. Check wiring to trans see if connections tight. If all good need to take into repair for testing.
