I bought this off my sister who kept good care of it 2 years ago. Last summer the starting problem started. It would start sometimes and other times it woud not 50%. Someone told me to bang on the gas tank to see if it was the fuel pump, which made no sense to me put I tried it and it worked. So I replaced the pump and the car was fine for a while. Then the starting problem came back. Hiting the tank most times worked. I finally let it sit until the winter when my son wanted to drive it. All winter it gave him no problems, as soon as it got warm a couple of weeks ago the starting problems came back. Now I have notice when the car wont start if you rock the car it will start. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHATS WRONG.

If the problem was sediment then wouldnt it be a constant problem? Once it is started it does not have any problem running.

It sounds to me that your filter screen on the fuel pump may be clogged. Dropping the tank and washing it out with gas and cleaning the screen on the fuel pump would fix the problem. Before I would do that however I would check to see if you are getting fuel to the engine. Good luck
