My neon has several problems. It makes a very loud howling like sound randomly from time to time that sounds like its coming from my air intake and I would like to know how to get rid of that sound, another is I got stalled out by the flood here in virginia and the car started about 15 mins later. I didnt drain anything or dry out anything but it started making a very terrible rattling/ ticking sound which sounds like its coming from the engine. I lost "get up" since the water issue. I know I need a oil change but nobody will touch the car while its making those sounds. I would like to know if someone can tell me whats wrong and what I have to do to fix these sounds they are very embarrassing.

ok I didnt get my post answered yet and this is needed to be answered urgent I dont understand why I donated if I dont get answered on here please refund my donation

I apologize on behalf of the moderators, we dropped the ball. Have you been refunded yet?

Regardless of the donation, have you found your answers or do you still need help?

There is a chance that water has been sucked into the engine and partially hydrocompressed a cylinder. These engine are very susceptible to engine damage when this situation occurs. That is too much fluid for the cylinders that shouldn't be there normally. May have a lower bearing problem now.
