I have a six disc CD player and pretty much all of the sudden it wouldn't play any CDs or change to any other disc. All it does is flash the number of the CD in both the display screen and the CD player below. Usually when it changes discs you could hear a clicking noise to signify the change, but it doesn't even do that anymore. I'm pretty sure I didn't try to shove anything in the player or abuse it anyway, it just stopped working.

Mine does the exact same thing. I've had it repaired twice and in the long run it does it again. Mine clicks a bunch of times and says 'Err' on the display. My suggestion don't bother paying the money to get it fixed. It'll just do it again. Save that money and purchase an after market cd player. It seems that the six disk changer was created very glichy.A friend of mine has one too and he chunked his and bought a nice new one. He's a much happier person.
