I bought my car almost 2 years ago and have had to change the rotors 4 times now because they keep warping. It appears to have been in a front end crash before. I had changed the rims, the ones the dealership I bought it from put on it were too big and needed spacers. It helped for about 6 mo's but now they need replaced again. Before changed the rims they would warp in a week or less. My mechanic has looked at it but can't find anything wrong. Any ideas would be very helpful, this car is going to be my daughter's soon and I want it in great shape for her. Thanks

Hi there,

if you purchase high end quality rotors you should not have any problem, there is no external items that will cause the rotor problem, if they do start to run out they can be re machined rather than replaced.

Thanks for the reply. I have bought great quality rotors and have had them resurfaced, I also have a 5 speed so I can down shift rather then brake very often, I avoid using my brakes as much as possible and have never had a car that warped rotors, nor do I tend to go through brakes often. My mechanic feels so bad that he has been doing work on my car for free but we can't seem to figure out what could be causing this problem.
