Hello there I recently had a problem with my power steering pump first in 8 years of owning the car, when the really cold weather come in(Illinois) the power steering pump started to mess up. So I had it changed, it worked for about 2 months (with loud noise and I hated driving the car, but it worked with out any problems other than the noise) so after two months of driving it went out again, I had it changed again, and same thing is happening now, I found out that in the reservoir there is foam forming when I drive or move the wheel right to left. Once I open the cap for the reservoir the air goes away and there is nothing but fluid, then it works good fro about 3 min or so, depends how many times I turn the wheel right or left. And I don't know what is causing it to foam / and I don't know how to make it stop. Thanks! Ps. My mechanic told me to wait it out and the air will go away after couple days well its been a week now and still same thing.

So you think this might help me? Cuz the pump is making noises right now, and I hate it. U think bleeding the system might help it? Or should I get it flushed?

If they can not get the pump to quite down for your liking then I would ask them to replace it.
The pump defective and you need to have a new one
since they just did it
they should help you
when you pick the car up it should be running noise free
if not then the job was not done correct and they need to have it fixed to your liking
good luck

Lol, ok I see, thanks. So the only reason it is making the noise, its defective or it still has air in the hoses? Correct?

Ok sorry for no response I was too busy with the mechanic. So he finally got it fixed last this Friday the car works. Well did work, until I drove it on 3/23/08 and the rpms went around 5k then when I came to a stop, it was hard to turn the wheel again. Do you have any idea why it would do that? Thanks.
