I started the car this morning, put it in reverse, turned on front and rear defrosters on full blast and the car shut off.

Did it restart? Once restarted did it reverse just fine? Or did you have to turn off the blowers.

Need you to reply before I start to infer with what is wrong.

It restarted fine, but the blowers must be off.

Try charging your battery full and make sure the connections are tight and secure same for the alternator.

I have a feeling that with the high energy drain that the battery is trying to charge and causing a high demand on the alternator causing the engine to loose its power and stall out at the low speeds.
