Well, here is the bad news first: Your not alone and if you take it to the dealer they ill charge about 150.00 to replace plugs and ires and the light ill come on again at about 28 miles. Now the badder (?) News: hen Mine did this it turned out it was the timing belt slipping and the belt went while I as driving so the engine is a mess right now.
The good news: the parts for the repair of the timing belt cost about 70.00 total. The job, if you follow chiltons AND get the correct Balancer puller from AutoZone (rents for 60.00 here), will take about 5 hours to replace yourself. You'll also needs floor jack stands and at least 1 floor jack to simplify things. Don't bother with the cheaper 3 jaw pullers you find, they won't work because of the design of the balance heel and how it is mounted. Also, don't bother pulling the engine mount on the passenger side from the body, it won't help and it's a pain to put back.

Good Luck
