I went to change my spark plugs today and when I removed the plugs I found that the #2 and #4 cylinders were full of oil. The spark plugs and even the boots were covered in oil. My wife drives the car and said she never noticed anything wrong. I just had the oil changed at a shop, could they have added too much oil?

Is it clean oil?

May be valve cover leakage. Get it cleaned off in that area and ablve it and keep an eye on it.

A quick lube place, anything is possible, would would be more apt to think they may have got a squirt off the mark than over filled it if it is clean oil. And if it dirtyier oil, probably leakage.
