1995 Dodge Neon Motor wont stay running

1995 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 120k miles

I just broke the timing belt and put a new one in and timed it perfact. When I go to start it. It wont start unless I hold the gas peddel down then it whants to die. So I hooked it up to a derby and it sad every thing is fine but it showed map sencor. So I put a new one on and that did nit work. I then checked the wire harness and it is fine. What else could it be.

U had the battery disconnected?
If so the computer will go through RPM learning process
take it for a ride around the block or so

The dirby is not always right. I did some reserch on the motor pulled the head off and found four bad bent valves. Note if belt breaks on those motors they will almost 100% bend the valves in them.
