2000 Dodge Intrepid leaking white substance that hardens wh

Leak appears to be coming from a point in center of car in a line with the rear seat .liquid drys a milkey white and hardens significantly muffler sounds a slight bit loud if you can diagnose problem expense of repair is importat given age of vehicle.. anything you can tell me will be appreciated.

No smoke that I can see. There is a slight roaring sound when the engine starts. This just noticed today

Well see if anything is leaking from either the muffler seam, or the weep hole on the muffler, you may be burning a wee bit of anti freeze. Possibly a had gasket or intake manifold gasket is just begining to go.
