Transmission problem
1993 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

engine reves up a little more than normal before the tranny kicks into first. Jjiffy lube said internal oil pressure was a little low on last service. Do I need a band adjustment?

How did they check the trans pressure? Were they servicing it (power flush)?

THey would be guessing. They didn't actually check pressure. They most likely made that determination based on how quickly the flush processed. I'm not saying they are wrong, but I feel it is an opinion other than a fact.

As far as a band adjustment, I don't think that is the problem. Have you tried any additives for the seals?
