We have a 93 Caravan, today while driving the ABS, and brake light came on. I continued to drive after checking to see that the emergency brake was released. After stopping the vehicle, and re-starting it to drive I noticed I could not apply the brakes. Only with a lot of force, could the vehicle hardly stop. What could be going on? Thanks! IT is a 1993 Dodge Caravan extended 3.3L, 160, 00 km's

You need to have the anti-lock brake system looked at. There will be codes stored in the computer to help diagnose this condition. The abs module is making false decisions.

Thanks for your reply on previous question. We decided to replace the ABS pump, our question as a precaution is, with no other hydraulic line disconnected, any bleeding of air from the system required? Thanks. ( Actually it is a Voyager, not Caravan)3.3L 160,000 km

No special bleeding, except go from left rear, right rear, Left front, right front when bleeding.
