2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Power Sliding Doors are stuck

2005 DODGE CARAVAN

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, 79,000 miles. Just last week the passenger side power sliding door started sticking. It will open with the inside button about 4-5 inches then get stuck. If the door is open, it will close to about 4-5 inches from the frame and get stuck. We have checked the track and there is nothing hindering it. Any suggestions?

Could be the motor is going out and it draws too much for the system, like a window that will only go part way up or down

It always gets stuck in the same place, coming or going. If we push it past that spot, the motor will kick in and go until the door is totally opened or totally closed. When I push the button to open, it goes to the spot, stops and clicks. If we push it just a little past the spot & then push the button again, it opens all the way. Ditto for closing. I don't think the motor is going, but I can't figure out what it could be.

If it is always in the same place, something is keeping it from sliding freely, try looking closer or lubing the track

I have the same problem. When I open or close the door manually, it slides freely so there is nothing jamming the track. I also tried lubing the track - the problem still persists.
