Brakes have ABS. On making a left turn using brakes to slow down, the "brakes" on dash panel lite up.

After making turn the lite goes out within 10 sec.

Brake pads are good and rear brake linings good. Pedal is
firm.

Could this be an ABS sensor on left side?

This may sound silly, but have you checked the fluid level?

The reason is, if it is low then this will turn the light on, and it makes sense that it would come on in a turn as the fluid is moving away from the sensor and then when it comes back the light is delayed to turn off for a few seconds.

However, here is a guide that will help with this light:

So, I would suggest checking the fluid and we can go from there.

Thanks

Took the vehicle today to an independent shop for the brake light problem.

The brake fluid reservoir is plastic and yellowed making it difficult to see brake fluid level.

When the pads and lining were installed, The reservoir
wasn't fully filled. I was told when the pads and lining were worn down it needed more fluid to activate the brakes causing a fluid sensor to activate. Filling the reservoir eliminated the problem.

The odd part was that the light activated only when making a left turn and using the brakes.

Okay. When the reservoir is aged you can shine a flashlight in the top opening, and you will be able to see the line of the fluid.

However, that is great that it was this simple and it does make sense that this was the issue.

The fact that it was only left-hand turns is because the sensor is on the right side of the reservoir and the fluid will drop below the level sensor and turn the light on.

Thanks for updating us and for using 2CarPros.
