1997 Dodge Caravan Squealing

My van will crank up and squeal and the motor will jump and then it will turn off all of a sudden within like 5 seconds of having it cranked up. And my husband said the belts are not moving at all and it has a rubber burning smell.

One of the accessories that are belt driven has locked up. What I recommend doing is simply removing the belt and checking to determine which pulley won't turn. Chances are the AC compressor has locked.
