1997 Dodge Caravan blower motor stars and stops

My blower motor just started stopping and starting whenever it feels like it. I had a 1998 dodge caravan with the same problem and it started doing the same thing at about the same milage

Yeah me too. I had to put a switch in it. They ran too much currant through it.

Hey joe,
did you replace the switch on the control panel inside the van or is there another switch (relay) located elsewhere in the van.

I had to put a switch in the control panel. Easy job, but be careful. Key off.
You could see it was burnt and the connector was melting.
Depending on the temp climate controls a resistor is also used for the different speeds also. When the resistor is bad, high speed only. So 3 things, the switch, resistor, and motor could be at fault and of course the circuit that includes the wiring and connectors. Ok I'll check back at 11. Joe
