Recently my sisters 96 Caravan has stopped starting, it will crank but not start. I sprayed a shot of either in the air cleaner, no change in rhythm.I checked for spark and found none. I checked the fusible link it is good, checked distributor(camshaft sensor connection) it is good, when I got to the coil, is when I realized there was no power to the coil when the ignition was turned to the run position. Could this problem be directly related to the auto shutdown relay? Is it possible it may have coded but not set the check engine light off and just shut down? I don't have a scanner readily available. Short of having it towed to a parts store to have it scanned, I am hoping for some insight from someone to fix it where it's beached now.

You should be able to check mil codes. You cycle the key just till dash lites conme on, no further. Cycle the key, on--off, on--off, on, then mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. Next, I'd have to check circuits at the asd relay.
