Cold start problem

I have a 96 Dodge Avenger with 120,000 miles on it. Recently, it started having an idle problem when starting it in cold weather. After I start the car, it acts like it wants to cut off, but doesn't. After the car is warm I have no problems with it in idle. But if I were to cut it off and wait two minutes and start again. It does the same problem all over again. What should I do?

Hey I have a very similar problem with my 94 caravan with the 3.3 v-6 I am thinking it might be the EGR valve. My van will not idle in cold weather until it warms up. It has dont this the 3 years I have had it, but its always just been a second car until last year about the end of the cold weather season. It runs great when its like 40 degrees out or warmer, but since it is getting ready to start getting really cold again I am hoping to find out more info and get this fixed. Sooooooo to make a long post hopefully shorter have you found the answer to your problems yet? Like I said I am thinkin EGR but not sure
