Hello. So, my CV axle on my front right passenger needed replaced. I removed a very bolt necessary to get the CV axle. I removed the 12 point 30mm bolt holding the axle to the wheel hub. And I removed the bolt on the other end going into the engine oil pan. And the ring as well. The main issue I am having is, trying to remove the axle from the engine itself. It’s quite literally stuck. I’ve tried chisel and a hammer. I even ran to my local AutoZone and picked up a slide hammer. But yet, it will not budge. Is there something I'm missing that is holding this dang CV axle in? I’ve sprayed rust penetrating around where the ring sits. Any ideas? Please and thank you! Btw, its front right passenger CV axle is stuck in the engine.

Is this the bolt and ring you removed? If so and using a puller isn't moving it, wipe off the lube and use a propane torch or similar to heat up the area where the bearing sets in the housing and see if it will come out then. That can bind up really well because of the steel and aluminum.

Yes, I have removed both the bolt and the ring. Now I’m just fighting the bearing and it isn't budging, lol.

Some were set into place with Loctite, so a bit of heat to break the bond and make the case expand can really help. The only item inside is the snap ring that catches the groove in the axle and those can be a bear at times.
