Low on oil now it cranks but no start

Does the oil pressure gauge move when cranking my SUV? It was low on oil, but see no leaks or smoke. Cranks but does not start. Did I do damage to engine because of low oil?

Damage to an engine depends on how low on oil and how it was driven if a quart then i would say probably not. so scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. See link.
