Hi, i have a problem with my car. the coolant is boiling in the header tank and the heater is blowing cold air. i have changed the thermostat and thermostat housing and the radiator cap, but still overheating. i have now taken the thermostat out to rule out any issues with this part.

Do you have any ideas?

Kind regards.

Vince.

Hi Vince.

This sounds like you have a blown head gasket which fills the heater core with exhaust which causes it not to work.

Here is a guide to help you confirm the failure:

Please let us know what you find.
