Coolant temperature

My coolant temperature will read middle of the temperature gauge at cold start. It's like it's stuck in the middle then when it heats up to operate temperature. The needle sits 1/4 of the way to the overheating section. It won't overheat. Its also hard to start car when cold.

It is 98,000 miles not 980,000.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so my manuals don't include it. Therefore, I will not have any technical information. However, these all work very similarly. The first thing you need to check is the coolant temperature sensor. Chances are it is faulty. Check the plug that connects to it for corrosion and make sure it is properly connected. If it is in good condition, replace the sensor. Chances are it has failed.
