Coolant reservoir

Coolant is empty after a short journey. I fill it up and it empties on the ground underneath straight away. I have to fill it twice to see if the coolant stay at max level. I'll come back to it few hours later and there's no more liquid. Had a look round the coolant reservoir and can see the liquid has leaked onto pipes around it. But can't see where the actual leak is coming from. Underneath the car is all wet too.

Hello,

This sounds like you could have a problem with the expansion coolant tank hose on the bottom of the coolant expansion tank. I have included instructions on the removal and installation of the coolant expansion tank as well as an exploded cooling system diagram in the diagrams down below. Please go through the guide and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex

I have kind of the same problem. I have a 2002 Mini Cooper. I fill my coolant expansion tank and after driving 35 miles I only have a half a tank left. I can fill my tank and leave it and the water does not go down. What could be wrong?
