I hit a deer and caused damage to the front bumper; the radiator bent in. Leaking coolant from bottom of driver side fan, overheating, and coolant reservoir boiling after running. No hot air. I cannot afford to take repair shop and would be grateful for any help with this. Thanks

Hi,

If the radiator is bent, chances are that is where the coolant is coming from. If there is no heat, you are very low on coolant and shouldn't drive it that way.

Here is what I suggest. First, we need to confirm the radiator is the issue.

Here is a link that explains what to look for:

If you are unable to locate the leak, then we need to pressure test it. You will need a pressure tester, but most parts stores will lend one to you.

Here is a link that explains how this is done:

If you need to get a new radiator, they aren't too expensive. I attached a pic from Rockauto.com below so you can get an idea of the price. Plus, I can get you an additional 5% off if you need one. And just FYI, I am in no way affiliated with Rockauto.com. I just have purchased a lot from them over the years. The only issue I had with the purchase of a radiator is one was damaged in shipping. I have a feeling this is the issue based on your description. If you could upload a few pictures of the damage to the radiator, it may help me.

Try this and let me know what you find. Also, let me know if you have other questions or need help.

Take care and Happy Easter,

Joe
