What can you say these codes could give out as far as symptoms? The car first is hard to start from the first time but after few tries it does start, traction light and check engine lights on. Codes are: P506/P341/and 1314.

I am told it is slipping but I doubt at these miles. That is why I am wanting to see what they could mean.

P0506 is a low idle code, namely the idle air control valve cannot get the idle to match what the ECU is calling for. So if the ECU is trying to set an idle speed of say 600 rpm the IAC moves to allow enough air to set that speed, this code will set when the ECU discovers that the RPM is lower than it should be so perhaps 500 rpm instead of 600. A faulty IAC could cause a hard start or a rough or erratic idle if it isn't opening enough to allow the engine to draw in enough air. Sometimes you can test this by lightly stepping an the fuel pedal while trying to start the engine. Most of the time it can be fixed by simply cleaning the IAC passages and the throttle body of any dirt or carbon from blow by. Other times it may be wiring to the IAC that is faulty. Testing is easier with a good scan tool as you can command the idle speed and test to see if the control operates as it should.

P0341 - is a Camshaft sensor position implausible signal code. It can be a faulty sensor or wiring or an issue with the actual cam timing.

The 1314 will depend on which code it is.

Code P1314 is to do with the throttle position sensor sending a bad signal. It can also cause a hard starting vehicle. If it's this code and with the idle speed issue it is very possible that only the TPS signal is the issue causing both problems. A scan tool to watch this signal as the pedal moves and comparing it to the other TPS signal at the same time could give you a clue about the real issue.

Code 01314 is an internal ECU issue and would require ECU replacement and reprogramming.
