I changed the clutch in my car and after I got done I used a vacuum pump to bleed the clutch off the slave cylinder that’s on the transmission. Started it up it shifted gears good while stationary, but when I put it in gear it budges like an inch then slips makes the same sound it did before I changed it. Here is the picture of the old clutch. I didn’t think it was all that worn, it’s rough and has hot spots but I don’t think it was time to fail.

Good afternoon,

No pictures attached. Can you re attach?

Can you see if the release bearing is fully releasing? I am concerned about the throw-out bearing?

It has a concentric slave for. The throw-out bearing the pedal feels right, but I have no sea how to tell if it is working. I’m working on rearing it apart to see if I may have accidentally put the clutch on backwards or got the torque wrong.

If you put the disc in backward, it would not go into gear at all. It will scrape and make a bad noise.

I assume you did replace the throw-out bearing as it is the slave as well?

Yea, I did replace the throw-out bearing but I didn’t replace the slave on the outside of the transmission where you bleed the clutch. I am a GM tech I seen at the eye doc told me it could be that.

Most definitely. It is not allowing the bearing to release.

Okay, thank you so. I will try that. Before this all happened there was a cdv valve on it and I read on line it drives a lot better with out it. So I took it out. Do you think this has caused the whole problem?

Possible. I would reinstall it and check it.

I took it all apart and found the culprit the dual mass flywheel seems. Broke the part the pressure plate bolts to is spinning freely and the new DMFlywheel I ordered (which is the wrong size unfortunately, they sent the first design 8.5 inch I need the second design 9”). It does not spin freely there seems to be springs or something in it to keep it with the flywheel. A least I found the problem.
