We had previously taken out the transmission to rebuild it but after we put it back in the clutch would not engage, the clutch is perfectly fine it was inspected when transmission was out. However, I believe it to be the clutch slave cylinder. We bled the clutch a good amount with no luck, and we took out the slave cylinder and tested it and it was actuating the piston but when it is in the truck it does not engage the clutch. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi,

Is it moving when installed? Also, are there any leaks that you are seeing?

As far as the slave, was there a problem with it before the work was done? If there wasn't, the release lever (fork) may be bent or not properly installed.

Also, the clutch master cylidner could be failing as well and when pressure is placed on it, fluid may be bypassing the plunger.

Let me know.

Joe
