Clutch noise

Clutch making loud slapping sound when engaged. Just started afraid to drive. It drives just fine goes into gear, smooth shifting. Engine is running fine.

Only thing to do here is get the box out and inspect the clutch for a mechanical problem. I have never heard this type of noise, normally you get a whine or a rumble noise. It may be slipping badly and this will result in total loss of drive shortly. Get this investigated ASAP before it fails and leaves you stranded.
