Just recently I noticed a tapping noise under my dashboard when I open or close my door. Sometimes it continues for about a minute after I turn my car on, sometimes it continues when I shut it off. It does eventually stop. Any suggestions?

Most often, when you hear a clicking sound is it one of the HVAC actuators. Take a look through this link. It is showing how to replace a blend air door actuator. However, it explains what happens and the symptoms. Read through it and see if it mirrors what you hear.

Once you do that, let me know. Also, I need to know if you are experiencing any odd conditions with the heating temperature, air flow direction, or fresh/recirculate control.
